Notes:

Seven Settings was originally a 7-song cycle composed in 1997-98 for soprano and harp alone, based on texts from Li Po (trans. David Young), Benjamin Peret and Charles Simic. The "Three Songs" are arrangements and recompositions for a larger ensemble of three of the original songs. The "Three Songs" were a winning score in the 2001-02 Contemporary Ensemble Composition Competition at New England Conservatory of Music.
