Salt in the Wound was originally written on a commission from percussionist Aaron Trant. It was featured in a performance on 3/28/01 as part of the New Gallery Concert Series curated by pianist Sarah Bob, where artwork directly inspired by Salt in the Wound, entitled "Music Chart" by Monika Sada (as featured on this website and on the cover of the CD), was also on display.
