"Gestations" was composed under the working title "Rates of Exchange" and given a readthrough by the New England Conservatory Honors Orchestra in January, 2000. After extensive subsequent revision, "Gestations" was the winning score in the 4th annual Boston Modern Orchestra Project Composition Competition.
